Native Instruments - Alicia's Keys

Native Instruments Alicia's Keys - a virtual recreation of Alicia Keys’ personal grand piano. The virtual piano Alicia's Keys was recorded in Alicia’s personal studio by her engineer Ann Mincieli and  sampling expert Thomas Scarbee over the course of two years, using vintage microphones and high-end outboard studio gear that produced an exquisite piano tone with supreme sonic fidelity.

Designed with incredible precision, include subtle details such as mechanical noise, designed specifically induced resonances, and even the sound of fingers hitting keys (optional), this unique tool provides a large number of living reality, so much in fact, that Alicia Keys herself used him exclusively for the last album.

Alicia’s Keys utilizes 17 GB of samples with 12 discrete velocity layers per note and emulation of sonic aspects like key release, sustain pedal functionality and sympathetic resonance. The user interface of the software gives control over the sound to further adjust it to the musical context and personal playing style, and also includes a convolution reverb that provides various room ambiences ranging from a small piano chamber to a large stage or concert hall.
